REMEMBER TO ENJOY THE LAST OF SUMMER FUN |
The pool toys have been replaced with notebooks and pens at my local discount stores. Already? School seems to start earlier and earlier - and for many, it's year-round. Moms and dads are pushing carts full of jeans, new shoes, and
the dentist and doctor offices are filled with get-it-done before school starts families.
If you're feeling a bit nostalgic for sparklers, watermelon and the coco-nutty scent of sunscreen, then don't put them away quite yet. Plan a playgroup party with all things that make for summer fun.

We have to move for our careers, our husband's careers, or in today's economically challenged times,
we have to move just to have a job. These necessities might be just the way things are, but it doesn't take
away the fact that moving presents a few challenges.
You just get settled, make friends, your older children adjust to school, you know where everything is - from
your favorite pizza hangout to a good pediatrician you can trust and even your favorite inexpensive place to birthday
gifts - and BAM! Bummer. Time to move again.
Playgroups can be a shortcut to adjusting to your new life. You can get the low-down on your community and find new favorite hangouts.
You can make a friend, and so can your children. But I won't kid you, it's tough to show up and be the new kid (even when you're all grown up).
